I gave recording the screen using ShadowPlay a try to see if it resulted in any better a screen grab since I wouldn’t be trying to line up the camera and play the game as the same time.

All I’ve ended up with is the inconvenience of not having the UI on show during recording, thousands of frames of video to look through and the same sort of over the shoulder shot as we usually do…
You know the month after the first Mercury Flow cover I tweaked the “Mercury” bit of the logo a bit because it just didn’t look right. But every month since it still didn’t look right so I tweaked it again, until we get to this month and I’m beginning to wonder to myself if I was doing something stupid like changing it but forgetting to save the file at the end…

Now I’m happy with it and the “flow” part looks weird…
There’s what appears to be a big-sized Professor Zoom towering over The Flash on this months cover so what are the odds that there’s a big-sized Felix Faust at the end of the mission chain reached around Level 5 for certain characters in DCUO?

Pretty high apparently…
See, on this months cover of The Flash, Flash is on the ground surrounded by the Professor Zoom and his evil students, so, I ask myself, why not have the Mercury Flow cover for Level 4 with him on the ground surrounded by the
undead soulless victims of Felix Faust?

Why not? I’ll tell you why not. Because as soon as you’re in aggro range of them and they attack you immediately stop the sleep emote and return to a standing position, making the whole screenshot more effort than it’s worth!
Also… They may be soulless for ESRB purposes, but “Soul Stop” makes no sense, so as far as I’m concerned, they’re dead.
I dunno… Would “Souled Out” have worked maybe?
I’m not sure what I was thinking, originally this was the character surrounded by more robots and bits of robots which I wasn’t happy with. Then the pun on the cover popped into my head and fortunately that original image was of no use entirely.

To spiff up the otherwise vanilla screenshot of him running down an “access tube” I’ve added a bit of blur. I did two versions of this, the first with radial blur and the second which was the one used with, appropriately, zoom thrown on…
